What is WeGram?
WeGram is an independent third-party Telegram client for Android. You can sign in with your Telegram account. WeGram is not an official Telegram app and is not affiliated with WeChat or Tencent.
Which devices are supported?
The Android APK supports ARM64 devices running Android 5.0 or later, including compatible phones and tablets. An iOS version is not available on this page.
Do I need a separate VPN?
WeGram includes proxy routes. When the configuration service and a route are reachable, a separate VPN may not be needed. Availability depends on your location, carrier and route status. If the app keeps connecting, try another route or network.
How do I install the Android APK?
Open the downloaded APK and follow Android's prompts to allow this installation source and finish installing. If WeGram is already installed, try updating it directly first instead of uninstalling it.
Installation guideDoes the green interface mean this is WeChat?
No. WeGram uses Telegram accounts and Telegram conversations. Its green visual style does not connect it to WeChat contacts or make it an official WeChat or Tencent product.
Why does a separate VPN sometimes make it work?
A VPN changes the network path used to reach services. If the configuration service or a built-in route is unreachable on your original network, using another network path may make the connection work. That result does not mean every network requires a separate VPN, or that built-in routes work everywhere.
Can I update without uninstalling?
Try opening the new APK while keeping your existing installation. Android will offer an update when the packages are compatible. If it reports a signature or package conflict, keep your current app and investigate before uninstalling, because local app data may be lost.

First confirm your network works, that your device has free storage and that the APK finished downloading. Try the download link again if the file is incomplete. The installation guide explains compatibility, permissions and package-conflict checks.
Installation guideIf the app keeps connecting
Check whether other websites work on the same network, then try another available route inside WeGram or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Built-in routes still depend on the configuration service and the route being reachable. They cannot guarantee access on every carrier or in every location.
Telegram sign-in and verification
Follow the verification instructions shown by Telegram. A code may arrive through a method offered by Telegram, and two-step verification may require your account password. Never share your sign-in code or password. Reinstalling WeGram does not remove Telegram verification requirements.
