WEGRAM HELP

How to install and update WeGram

A step-by-step Android installation guide, with help for APK permissions, updates, Telegram sign-in and connection problems.

Prepare your device

Use a compatible ARM64 device, leave enough free storage and finish downloading the APK. You will need access to your Telegram account and any verification method or two-step verification password that Telegram requests.

Start using WeGram in three steps.

  1. Download the APK

Make sure your device uses ARM64 and runs Android 5.0 or later, then download the v15 installer.

    Download
  2. Open the installer

Open the APK in your Downloads folder. Follow the system prompts to allow this source and complete installation.

  3. Sign in and start chatting

Sign in with your Telegram account, complete the requested verification and choose a suitable connection route.

Allow only the installation source you use

Android may ask you to allow your browser or file manager to install apps. Menu names vary by device and Android version. Allow that source only when you intend to install the downloaded file, then turn the permission off again if you no longer need it. Keep Android security checks enabled.

Already have WeGram?

Try installing this APK over your current WeGram installation first. Do not uninstall the app just to update it: uninstalling can remove local app data. If Android reports a conflicting package or signature, keep your existing app and check that you downloaded the intended WeGram package.

If installation does not finish

Check the Android version, ARM64 support, available storage and whether the download completed. If the file is incomplete, download it again from this page. If Android reports a security warning or package conflict, stop and review the message; do not disable protection or delete the existing app as a shortcut.

Telegram sign-in and verification

Follow the verification instructions shown by Telegram. A code may arrive through a method offered by Telegram, and two-step verification may require your account password. Never share your sign-in code or password. Reinstalling WeGram does not remove Telegram verification requirements.

If the app keeps connecting

Check whether other websites work on the same network, then try another available route inside WeGram or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Built-in routes still depend on the configuration service and the route being reachable. They cannot guarantee access on every carrier or in every location.
